Solution
Tactica Interactive launches Keeping Canada Alive www.cbc.ca/KeepingCanadaAlive – one of CBC’s most ambitious digital projects to date. The site features immersive 24-hour interactive video delivering unprecedented access to the touching human stories within the Canadian health care system. Viewers can witness babies being born, life-changing procedures, revolutionary new techniques in surgery, and follow the dedicated health care workers helping people who would otherwise fall through the cracks. As viewers explore scenes unfolding across the country, points of fact, context and discussion are fed to viewers through a continuous news feed that both amplifies and enriches this unique digital experience.
Over a 24-hour period on May 6, 2015, 60 camera crews descended on more than 40 health and home care locations in 24 Canadian cities to capture a six-part, one-hour television series highlighting 36 emotionally charged and highly intimate stories – from a three-month-old baby having a hole in his heart patched to a terminal cancer patient receiving end-of-life care.Keeping Canada Alive airs Sundays at 8 p.m. CT starting Oct. 4 on CBC.
